Import
Import a legacy model through a binding. The source artifact is retained byte-for-byte and content-addressed before anything else happens; the loss report names everything the binding could not carry, and nothing lossy is committed until its loss is accepted by name.
The largest artifact this server accepts is 512 MiB (536870912 bytes, set by MW_MAX_BODY_BYTES). Uploads larger than that are refused before import with a 413 that names the limit.
Fidelity: for a read/write binding the engine measures and diffs the binding's own round trip; a viewer (import-only) cannot write back, so no round trip is measured. The native read of your artifact is NOT independently measured - the loss report is the binding's own account of it.
